Daily Gratitude in my Planner

One of the things that has become apparent through my recovery process, is that I have not been taking the time to simply notice the things around me. The process of daily gratitude has been a wonderful starting point for refocusing my attention on the things around me and turning off the ‘auto-pilot’.

May has been a really positive month of this. After a particular dip in March and April, I reignited my daily gratitude routine in my Passion Planner. I use the monthly spread calendar to record the gratitude for that day based around prompts from the Elliebeth Designs UK Gratitude Challenge. In May I also really went for it with the colour and decoration, to make it appealing and fun to look at, so that I would really want to fill it in. I have absolutely loved it!

I now feel really positive about filling in the spread for June and seeing it fill up.

Aside from the challenge, I also incorporate gratitude in different ways. On my weekly spreads I record a simple thing that has made me smile during each day. On my daily spreads, I record positives of the day, the good things or achievements. Focusing on the positive and the little things is something that many of us don’t do and is something that I have really enjoyed focusing on in my planner.

I have to say, before really committing to it, gratitude was something I felt was outside of my comfort zone but now I can’t imagine my planner without it.
