The Bullet Journal is where I first fell into the planner community. I have always been a stationery addict and writing things down works really well for me. In a period of time where work was challenging, I stumbled across the bullet journal through a buzzfeed article shared on Facebook. I was instantly hooked! Why had I not discovered this sooner?!
Throughout my planner journey I have kept a bullet journal as part of my line up. That was until about February this year. I scrapped it. I was trying to use a Hobonichi Cousin which wasnt working and then I lost my way with life. In April, I started a fresh Leuchtturm 1917 and I felt so happy about opening it up and getting it going again.
It has become such an important object at the moment. I use it for everything ad mainly as a huge dumpng ground for everythign that is in my head! I take it to my therapy sessions with me to write down all of my notes, use it to record the home therapy activities that I have to do. I track all sorts of things in it to help me build up my understanding of how I am managing my health and to make small daily improvements. I honestly think it has been crucial in the progress I have made so far.
There is such a joy I have at the moment when opening my bullet journal, and crossing off the different tasks for each day supports that feeling of achievement which has been missing from my feelings for a long time.
One group on Facebook has been fantastic – Bullet Journaling – Mental Health . This has given me a lot ideas for tracking and inspirational spreads for different aspects of my health. As we start June, I have lots of spread set up in my Bullet Journal to help me. But I am also already looking to July, a new Bullet Journal and a new possibility of spreads to help me continue my positive steps to recovery.
What have you found has worked for you in your bullet journal? What spreads do you include to support your health? I would be fascinated to know and gain more ideas from the community. You can take a look at some of my Bullet Journal spreads for June on my instagram and look for future posts on my set ups.
