Thursday 13th June 2019 marks the third anniversary of my first ever bullet journal spread. This led to me falling down the rabbit hole of the planner community. I wondered about marking this in some way and there were lots of ideas, but the one that I have gone with is to recreate my first bullet journal spread in my current journal.
But first, where did I begin with my bullet journal?
I’ve talked about discovering the bullet journal in a previous post, but my first bullet journal was an A5 purple dot grid Leuchtturm 1917. I ordered it while out to breakfast with my husband the morning after coming across the concept online. I loved it and tried so many things in it that it only lasted one month! Sadly, the trend of going through notebooks at that speed hasn’t changed!
After experimenting and spending hours on YouTube, I decided that I needed a weekly overview before going into my dailies.

This overview worked well as it gave me a glipse of where we were in the month, the events for the week, a space to be aware of what was coming up, and space for notes and tasks that needed to be done that week. This was then followed by the dailies where I would record all sorts of things and move tasks from the weekly onto the appropriate day. Yes there are mistakes but that’s just reality.
Over time this has changed and my style has varied dramitcally, but I think this would work well for me at this moment in time where I have a lot of uncertainty.
This has led me to replicate this spread for the upcoming week.

I’ve adapted it because things are different for me now compared to three years ago which is no surprise! I’ve added a meal plan to the overview for the week. I’ve also made sure to include my focus for the week which comes from my Passion Planner weekly review. Finally, I’ve added space for my Penguin Joe weather stickers because I quite enjoy adding them to the week! Its simple but there’s space for a lot of things to get my week organised.
I’ve done a PWM video on my channel where you can see me create this from scratch and there will be posts on my instagram for how the week fills up.
